WindWise Education is an innovative 6th-12th grade curriculum and teacher training program that explores the dynamic field of wind energy. As a WindWise sponsor, you can increase community knowledge and understanding of wind energy.
We have worked with many partners over the last seven years to help bring wind energy science and engineering into classrooms all over the world. Sponsor Teacher Training
Studies show that training dramatically increases the use of curricular materials. Our hands-on full day trainings give teachers the information and tools to teach about wind power.
You can sponsor a teacher training for a community, or provide multiple trainings for an entire region.
Sponsor a WindSenator
WindSenators are certified to teach WindWise educator workshops. Every year we offer a week long WindSenator training to expand our teaching network.
You can sponsor a teacher to become a WindSenator, increasing the capacity of the WindWise network, and providing your targeted communities with a knowledgeable wind educator and resource.
What does sponsoring WindWise do for you and your community?
If you supply curriculum materials and gear to schools: Teachers receive tools to teach wind in the schools. You will get your logo on materials (depending on order size), and increase your company's commitment to wind education.
If you sponsor a teacher training: Teachers gain confidence in their ability to teach about wind energy. Teachers will inspire and learn from one another. You will get your logo on all workshop materials and PR. You will also receive local recognition of your company's commitment to education.
If you sponsor multiple workshops within a state: Teachers gain confidence in their ability to teach about wind energy. Teachers will inspire and learn from one another. You will get your logo on all workshop materials, PR, and the WindWise website. You will also receive statewide recognition of your company's commitment to education.
If you sponsor a WindSenator: You will help WindSenators serve as regional WindWise representatives. They increase the number of teacher trainings possible in a region, and make them more affordable. Benefit to you: WindSenators act as local resources that can talk to community members about wind energy.
If you become a WindWise partner: Educators will receive on-going support and materials. WindWise Schools will integrate wind energy education into their core curriculum. Communities will have on-going, reliable, factual local wind energy information and resources. You will get your logo on all PR curriculum and materials. Partners have their own page on the WindWise website for teacher, student, and community member educational use. They become a trusted supporter of education within a community, and will have the opportunity to have a WindWise lesson tailored to incorporate your data or product information.
